“Great location in Venice, close to water taxi”
September 2017: “I found a review on youtube about this hotel. The couple described the place perfectly. We stayed here one night because two nights were not available. We traveled 19 hrs and this was the perfect spot for us for our first night in Italy. We booked it through their website directly. I used my credit card to reserve and paid for the room at checkout. The free breakfast was perfect and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace. The woman serving the breakfast and taking our money for the room was so very kind. She answered all of our questions and was more than helpful. She gave me a book on Italy as she knew we were traveling to 5 more cities. Her book by Rick Steves was so very helpful. She held our bags on the day we checked out and we were able to tour venice before heading to the train. The Alilaguna stop is “Ospedale”. It is a two-minute walk to the hotel. The AC worked perfectly. We had three twin beds. The bedding was comfortable. I travelled with my 13 and 15 year old. We had a TV and fridge as well. This was on the northern part of the island (near the Hospital). We found the best pizza in Venice on the water close to the Hospital. We also enjoyed going to Coop (grocery store) for bottled water and snacks. It’s listed as a two-star hotel but was perfect for what we needed it for. We stayed in an airbnb on our way back to Venice only because Alloggi Barbaria was sold out!” princabessa – West Chester, Pennsylvania
