“Excellent value B&B in Venice”

The 15th of February 2012: This B&B hit every note important to me in a hotel: it was clean, located off the beaten tourist track but still within walking distance to important sites, and very large by European standards. The room was quite large, as was the bathroom. A few people have complained about finding the hotel, but if you follow their directions EXACTLY, it’s not a problem at all (on a side note – I’m not sure if the reviewer AdaRomania were staying at this B&B – it’s definitely NOT an extra boat ride from Ospedale. I can’t think where they ended up! And to my memory, there were never any women at reception, only an older owner with little English and a younger man who was very friendly). Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and would absolutely stay here again. And for people who complain about the breakfast – consider it leaving room for all the great cichetti in the neighborhood!

"Great away-from-the-bustle stay": October 2017: “Just got home after spending 8 nights at the Alloggi Barbaria. First, I must commend Fausto for being a great host. Prior to arrival, he always responded to emails promptly and with good answers to any questions. In person, he is even better. He took the time to help better my ...
