“As local as you can get”

The 28th of February 2012: When it comes to Venice, this B&B made me fall in love with Venice. If it wasn’t for the amazing people there, I would probably never consider returning to Venice again. This placed felt like you were part of an Italian family, the older man (I believe Giorgio), was extremely nice, caring and sweet. The other concierge, Fausto, was extremely helpful as his English was a lot better. The B&B itself, very clean, you get your own shower, bathroom, bide, heating/ac that you can adjust to your liking, TV, fridge and free Wifi. Your towels are changed daily and you get proper service. The breakfast is actually quite nice, you get a yogurt (varies daily!), a coffee/tea, a croissant or a little cake and bread to go with some butter, jam and nutella….if you ask me, that can get you a massive savings in Venice (food in Venice is rather pricey, so Thank you for the breakfast!) I stayed there for 4 nights and the place was easy to find, with a supermarket in close proximity and a 10minute walk to St. Marco’s square. It is off the beaten path and their recommendations about restaurants were great (not only did I eat at local places, I also paid local pricey and really enjoyed the food!), Overall, I think this place is a great value, very clean and well placed (it is near the Fondamente Nove boat stop so if you want to go to Murano, Burano or Torcello, it is a 10 min walk along the water to get to the bus stop).

It was easier than initially thought to find and the hosts were very warm and inviting to us. They had helpful advice on places to eat nearby and...

"Great away-from-the-bustle stay": October 2017: “Just got home after spending 8 nights at the Alloggi Barbaria. First, I must commend Fausto for being a great host. Prior to arrival, he always responded to emails promptly and with good answers to any questions. In person, he is even better. He took the time to help better my ...
